Paint & Sip Fundraiser

October 2019

Another three brat fry fundraisers are in the books; and that wraps up our brat fry season. Thank you to all of our volunteers who have made our events such a success! We could not have done it with out you.

There's still time to sign up for our October fundraiser! Join us at Pinot's Pallet in Appleton on October 5th from 7pm to 9pm for a sip and paint. There will also be a silent auction with wine and dine baskets from Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Cheddars, Cafe Nutrition, and more. Don't miss this fun time! You can see the painting below or when you sign up here.

Our T-shirts are still available. With twelve colors to choose from, it's easy to support and represent a young woman in need. Visit our shop to order now!

On November 10th we will be running a concession stand at the Green Bay Packer game if we get enough volunteers. For each volunteer that helps, the Packers will donate $80 to our organization. What a great opportunity! Please consider volunteering your time and showing your spirit for Be the Magic and the Green Bay Packers.

Fundraisers Continue

September 2019

We've had our most successful brat fry fundraiser yet. All the money we raise will be put towards our dream building located in Menasha, WI, and we are excited to be one step closer.

Our next fundraiser is on the calendar. Join us at Pinot's Pallet in Appleton on October 5th from 7pm to 9pm for a sip and paint. There will also be a silent auction with various gift baskets. Don't miss this fun time!

Two more brat fries are also set up. They will be in September on the 14th and 28th at the Neenah Festival. Come on out and support us by enjoying a brat and beverage, or volunteer to grill or serve.

If you can't make it out to our brat fries you can donate online and the meal will be donated to the COTS women shelter in Appleton. You can help two organizations with one donation; that's a win-win! Just click here and a donation receipt will be emailed to you immediately.

Fundraising

June 2019

We have been working hard to organize and get ready for our summer of fundraising. Many donors gave money and supplies to run the brat fry. Aprons, an iPad Point of Sale system, a cash box, a food license, and caps have all been collected and are ready to go. It's been a blessing to see everyone come together and support our cause!

Our founder Stephanie Shantz is still doing all she can to prepare herself to be the best leader she can be. She attended a Community Foundation presentation on how to share her organization's story efficiently. She also attended Aaron Rodgers' charity event to take notes on how others with non-profits fund-raise and present themselves. Stephanie is always doing her best to make her dreams for Be the Magic come true. Go, Stephanie!

Our first fundraisers are this month and we couldn't be more excited! Come support us and enjoy a lunch. Look below for more details. A huge thank you goes to Dream Works Realty for staffing our June 30th brat fry! We couldn't do it without you.

Our T-shirts are in and will be available for purchase this month. Show off your love for Be the Magic and help change a life!

Preparation

April 2019

It has been a busy month here at Be the Magic. Busy is good though, it means we are moving forward! An anonymous Samaritan donated an iPad for us to use during our brat fries. It will make checkouts much easier and really help simplify our fundraisers. Another person donated money to purchase a food license so we can host as many food booths as we need to this year.  We are very appreciative! We are still in need of an Apple Square stand and a cash register if you would like to be a part of the magic.

Our founder Stephanie Shantz has been working hard to prepare herself to be the best representative she can be. She attended a Nonprofit workshop where she met with other nonprofit pursuers. The community was very supportive and responsive to Be the Magic and its goals. They shared many ideas for funding, developing resources, and general operations of a nonprofit company.
Stephanie also received best speaker at her Toastmasters club. She is close to achieving the Competent Communicator Award. This means she will soon be ready to take on interviews and speak out more about Be the Magic.

Fundraisers are coming soon!

Backpack Donations

Now that our non-profit has been approved, the real work can begin!  And we are off to a good start. Donations have been pouring in. Seven backpacks for the welcome kits were graciously given to us by Marshalls; they are perfectly pink! Inside the backpacks will be basic supplies the residents will need. Pick 'N Save has filled ten of them with hygiene items like shampoo, deodorant, and lotion. We just need a few more things like towels, socks, and clothing- and more backpacks of course!

We also have official dates for our spring and summer fundraisers. There are four future brat fries coming up. See below for details. There are still openings to help set up, take down, and sell.  If volunteering doesn't work out for you, just stop by and purchase a lunch! Any support is appreciated.

Non-profit Approved

YES! It finally arrived. Be the Magic has been approved to be an official non-profit organization starting December 2018. We waited an entire year. Talk about practicing patience! We couldn't be more excited about what's to come, and this is just the beginning!
We had our first fundraiser and raised $2,000. What a great way to start off the new year!

Waiting for Nonprofit Status

It's been a waiting game around here waiting for the nonprofit number to come in. We are so ready to start all the fun fundraising events, but can't accept any donations until that number comes in. I've been calling the IRS every Thursday nicely reminding them I am here waiting, not so patiently for their approval.

Also, the word is getting out on Be the Magic. A couple of weeks ago I was contacted by a producer of America's Real Deal (who's been following Be the Magic's progress) to possibly be on the show. After the second phone call I realized it wasn't a good fit. At first I was disappointed, but the good news is if I was called by one show others will be in the future.
The other thing that happened was I was out with a friend and she brought up Be the Magic to her friend (that I don't know) and her friend said, "Oh, I know what Be the Magic is. I've been following it for a while." I was like "whaaaaa"!!! I went home and cried. I was so happy. I've been working so hard to spread the word and some days it feel like no one is listening. It's little events like this that help me remember that people are definitely listening and to keep on keeping on.

We are on the search for more ladies to sign up for the Adopt-a-Mom. If you have ever wanted to help change the life of a young lady please click here to find out more and to sign up. It's easy. If you need more information, please call or text Stephanie @ 920-915-9661.

Promotional Packets are done!

Who’s too excited and can’t sleep at 1 am.... it’s me.... it’s me!
So I’m assembling info packets for Be the Magic.
Next week I start meeting with guidance counselors and dropping off the packets at local high schools.
How cool is that!
I can only imagine all the girls lives that will be changed in the near future and years to come because I answered the calling of my heart. ❤️
